Lombard Odier honoured at WealthBriefing European Awards 2023
Lombard Odier continued its winning streak this year by collecting three key trophies at the WealthBriefing European Awards 2023. The Bank’s awards in the Client Initiative – UK, Client Initiative – Europe and Operations Team categories celebrate our unwavering commitment to innovation and technology-powered client service.
These awards follow recent wins at WealthBriefing’s Swiss Awards in February this year, where we collected three awards. They also build on our success from last year when we were honoured in the UK Client Service and Marketing Campaign categories. In November 2022, Lombard Odier won two prestigious accolades at WealthBriefing’s MENA Awards.
Client initiative - UK
This award recognises our new UK resident non-domiciled (RND) service, launched in April last year. Designed by our in-house tax and legal experts in close collaboration with our technology team, it’s the first automated, end-to-end RND wealth management service in the UK.
“We are proud to win this award for our RND wealth management service, which is a true innovation in the UK wealth management industry. By combining market-leading client service with cutting-edge wealth technology, we have created a service that optimises the wealth of our clients across borders,” said Duncan MacIntyre, CEO, Lombard Odier UK.
WealthBriefing commented: “The judging panel had a very easy decision in this very important category.”
Operations Team
We are extremely proud to have received this award, which highlights the hard work and dedication of our Operations teams in Luxembourg and Switzerland. Together, they continue to provide a first-class service to our European clients against a particularly challenging geopolitical backdrop.
Providing clarity to the Operations teams and ensuring client service is at the centre of everything we do are both key drivers of our success. Additionally, we have made some important improvements in automation, which has enhanced quality and reduced risk.
“The judges were impressed that the winner has managed to deal with high volumes and found innovative ways to manage new sanctions impacting transactions,” said WealthBriefing.
Client initiative – Europe
We were delighted to receive this award for our efforts to upgrade the Bank’s digital acquisition capabilities across selected markets.
Vivien Moinat, Head of Business Strategy, said: “This commercial initiative is a concrete step towards Lombard Odier’s vision of the ‘augmented banker’. Winning this category is clear recognition of our ‘rethink’ approach to this growing trend.”
The WealthBriefing judges said: “The winning submission stood out for its intelligent use of digital channels to engage with investors. It was particularly well received by the panel as speaking to the next generation is becoming ever more important.”
