Lombard Odier to build new global Headquarters in Bellevue

Lombard Odier Group has decided to build its new headquarters on a 27,400 m2 plot in Bellevue (Geneva) in order to bring all its staff together under one roof. Once completed in 2021/2022, it will accommodate up to 2,600 workspaces.

Construction of the new head office is a strategic step in the 200 year old firm's development, illustrating its confidence in the future and commitment to investing in cutting-edge infrastructure in line with new ways of working.

Currently, the Group has more than 1,900 workstations spread over six different sites in Geneva and Lancy. Ideally situated at the heart of a railway, road, motorway and airport hub, the new head office will be completed within five years and host up to 2,600 workstations.

“Symbolising the bank of tomorrow with its resolutely contemporary architecture, this new building will offer a work environment which promotes exchange, innovation and performance,” said Patrick Odier, Senior Managing Partner of Lombard Odier. “Our clients will benefit from an exceptional venue which is easy to access by all modes of transport and provides all services and expertise under one roof."

This cutting-edge headquarters, which combines flexibility with technological innovation, will also strengthen the synergies and collaboration between the Group's various business lines.

In keeping with its vision of tradition and innovation – as exemplified by its "Rethink everything" philosophy – Lombard Odier will launch an invitation-based international architecture competition at the beginning of June 2017. The winning project is due to be unveiled at the end of the year. The Group is also planning to renovate its historic headquarters in Corraterie. This iconic location will continue to be used for receptions and various events.

"Our aim is to build a new head office, which blends harmoniously with its surroundings, providing our staff with a stimulating, pleasant working environment to suit today's new ways of working," said Patrick Odier. "This building must also meet the highest standards of sustainable development and employ the most efficient technology available, particularly in terms of energy saving."

Ideally located for public and private transport, the new head office will be very close to Les Tuileries station, just six minutes by train from Geneva Cornavin and the future Léman Express. It is near the A1 motorway and five minutes from Geneva Cointrin airport by car.

Construction is expected to start in early 2019 and finish by the end of 2021.

Lombard Odier is supported in the management of this project by SPG Intercity.
